Critical Win plus transaction

The Zodiac broke out of the scoring slump just in time to hand Alamo City its first loss of the season. Alamo City opened the scoring with Henry in the first match of the weekend, but Daniele Paponi rewarded the Zodiac's faith in him when they signed him as trailist by recording an assist in his MLS debut. The Zodiac looked to have luck on their side as Michel's cross to Kenny Cooper was ruled as an own goal, therefore negating the 2 points City would've collected from the goal. However, the Zodiac soon showed why they deserved to be in first place as they quickly jumped out to a 5-1 lead with two points coming from Ryan Johnson. Alamo City looked to mount a comeback as Nielsen accumulated 4 saves in the first half of SKC's game, but could not manage to get that critical 5th save in the second half. Giles Barnes did finish off the scoring adding a goal for AC, but it was too little too late as the Zodiac reclaimed 1st place.

The Zodiac hope to keep the momentum going as they take on rivals Second City this weekend. The Zodiac should have the advantage for this matchup as City designated player Brad Davis will suspended for the match due to his red card last weekend.

Pending league approval, the Zodiac will be dropping Jack Jewsbury (POR) and picking up Robbie Rogers (LAG?) who is currently training with the Galaxy.
