week 13 lineup plus transaction

Last week the Zodiac looked destined for a loss when they went down 3-0 early in the match, but the team showed great character to not only tie the match up, but win the match 5-3. Brad Evans had a brace as he is embracing the playmaker role for Seattle, and Zodiac designated player Chris Pontius added an assist for only his second point of the year. Despite the slow start, the club has full faith that Pontius will return to the goal scoring machine that he was last season, and repay the faith the club put in him by helping them reclaim first place. The Zodiac are almost at full strength, as Robbie Rogers announced his signing with the Galaxy, although Paponi seems to still need a few weeks to recover from his hamstring injury.

The Zodiac picked up a big win last week defeating the 4th place Spartans 6-4. The game winning goal was scored by the rookie Gyasi Zardes on a cross from Jose Villarreal. With the win, the Zodiac sit just one point out of first place, while sitting four points above third. This week, the Zodiac will be taking on the last place Stoners, who are looking to pull off an upset after snapping their losing streak by winning 6-5 last week. The Stoners also received the good news that designated player Robbie Keane is set to return to action potentially playing in both of the galaxy's games this week, practically ensuring that the Stoners will score more than the 1 goal they had last time the two clubs met.

Week 10 Line-Up

The Zodiac will begin week 10 with some disappointing news, as new comer Daniele Paponi was diagnosed with a hamstring injury which will sideline him for 4-6 weeks. Paponi injured his hamstring during a game last night against Toronto FC, in which he scored the second goal before coming off in the 34th minute. Fortunately, the Zodiac the believe that they have the necessary depth, even with new signing Robbie Rogers still several weeks out from potentially playing, that they will not have to find a replacement for Paponi.
