Week 4

Just as the Zodiac finally looked to be on the up and up, winning 4-1 against Gateway United, they suffered several injuries. Kelyn Rowe pulled up lame with a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him out through at least this week, while Zodiac's leading scorer, Joao Plata, suffered a hamstring tear that will keep out another 3 weeks. There was some hope that Pontius and Sheanon Williams would recover in time for this weekend, but the trainers decided to hold them back from competing this weekend. The only good news for the Zodiac is that Yannik Djalo finally cleared up his work visa issues and is expected to make his debut this weekend. Hopefully the Zodiac's depth will prevail against a strong Second City team. Kenny Cooper will retain the captain armband this weekend.

week 2 plus transactions

Last week the Zodiac were rescued by Plata, who not only scored the game winning goal for the Zodiac but who also took away rose city's clean sheet which would've given them the 2-1 win. Mr. Reliable from last season, Josh Williams, gave the Zodiac the early lead with an assist. The game was a testament to the depth of the Zodiac as both of their designated players were unable to play due to injuries and byes. This week the Zodiac will be shorthanded again, as Zardes, both Williams, Pontius, and Hamid will not feature.


The Zodiac did pick up Yannik Djalo of the San Jose earthquakes who will be replacing Patrick Mullins (NER).

Week One

The Zodiac will start off the campaign with a test of their depth as designated player Gabriel Torres will not be playing this weekend. In addition, the Zodiac's second designated player Chris Pontius is still recovering from an injury and is unlikely to see any playing time during the match today. Despite this, the Zodiac will be looking for big contributions from Rowe, Cooper, Plata, and Zardes, all of whom have been primed for a big season this year. Dom Dwyer will lead the Zodiac's today as their captain.
